When fish are present, we bring a temporary tank of the size needed to hold all of your fish safely. We use your pond water to fill the tank to ensure a familiar, stress-free environment for the fish. We examine your fish for any health issue and treat them as necessary. A circulation pump is installed to ensure a good oxygen supply. The tank is securely covered with a net to protect the fish from jumping out.

Then the work starts by power washing everthing from the waterfall, down the stream and to the pond. The pond is completely emptied and pressure washed; power washing continues until the water stays absolutely clear and free of any debris.

Excess plant growth is removed and the pond is thoroughly examined for damage and/or liner movements that should be corrected.

The pond is filled, the water treated for chlorine and ammonia, and circulated for oxygenation. Only then are the fish returned to the pond; in the warmer month, this may be the following day to give the new water time to warm up and equalize temperature with the water in the holding tank.

We also inspect your filtration and pump system and advise on appropriate maintenance procedures and intervals. We recommend optional water treatments that would help keep your pond or water feature healthy and looking at it's best for months to come.
