Evolution Aqua's Cetus is a new bow screen pre-filter made using the latest rotational technology. It is designed to efficiently and effectively remove large amounts of mechanical wastes from a pond. It can also be advantagously used in front of a pressurized filter such as the Aqua Ultraviolet Ultima II, thus reducing debris accumulation in the filter and increasing it's biological filtration effectiveness. Using the Cetus Sieve after a pond skimmer completely eliminates the need to constantly clean the skimmer debris net and filter pad.

The Cetus Sieve is self-cleaning and virtually maintenance free. When gravity fed, its unique water flow regulation system maintains an optimal flow even when the water level drops in the pond. If pump fed, the sieve is placed above pond water level and the exit water is gravity dropped into the Nexus or returned directly to the pond.

The Cetus-Nexus is a great combination reducing the periodic maintenance of the Nexus and increasing the oxygen level in the water. The best combination is gravity fed to the Cetus, pumped to the Nexus, then pumped back to the pond (two pumps of equal flow are required). Here is how this configuration is assembled:
